ROLE SUMMARY
We are currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer
on behalf of our client, a leader in the pharmaceuticals
industry. This individual will serve as a primary
resource for Disaster Recovery and consulting on new
services entering into production. S/he will define the
solution options based on recovery time objectives
and recovery point objectives. The solutions will
be presented based on risk and financial models.
He/she will partner with the business to deliver
solutions(Supply chain, commercialization, crm etc)
The candidate should be able to take initiative, work
across the organization, obtain required resources
and cooperation of needed participants will also
be necessary. Occasionally this individual will
be responsible for the implementation of various
programs and projects. These projects will vary in
scope but will be focused around commercialization
efforts and changes to data collection, archiving,
reporting and analysis. This is a fulltime opportunity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
--Strong communication skills, both written and oral format
--Capable of explaining complex technical issues to both
technical and non-technical audiences
--Ability to interface with all levels of management
--Solid knowledge of database
--Backup infrastructure, Messaging, Application/server
virtualization
--Replication technologies for application, storage solutions,
and Database technologies
--Responsible for capturing business demand and
translating that demand in to models for planning,
budgeting and prioritizing project asset needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate MUST have the following experience to be
considered for this opportunity:
--Must be familiar with leading practices in Disaster
Recovery and Business Continuity.
--He/she must have experience in running periodic tests of
DR plans leveraging multiple site solutions.
--He or she must also have excellent consultative and
communication skills.
--Qualified candidate(s) should have competency in:
Exceptional analytical skills Strong consultative and
coaching skills.
--Previous experience with and understanding of ITIL
Capacity Management processes.
-- 5+ years experience of disaster recovery functions.
--Experience working with/for a multinational company.
--Strong understanding of SOX, HIPPA, EMEA and FDA
regulations and GxP practices.
--Proven track record of producing and meeting plans
and schedules for variety of technical projects Deep
knowledge of one or more architectural components (ex.
Mid-range servers, Citrix, network routers, etc.).
--Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
--Masters degree preferred.
--ITIL certification is a plus.
--Excellent interpersonal, analytical/ troubleshooting,
documentation, and communications skills Excellent
presentation and communication skills; must be able to
effectively present to and interact with senior managers
In-depth knowledge of methods for forecasting & planning
In-depth knowledge of building budgets and plans
supporting business processing demands in a healthcare
industry.

Business Continuity
Management specialist
(Washington, DC)
IFC has established an on-going Business Continuity
Management program with the objective of sustaining
and enhancing the corporation’s resiliency in the
face of events that have the potential to disrupt its
operations.
IFC Operational Risk Division, Business Risk
Department is responsible for maintaining the program
overall, in coordination with IFC’s business and
corporate service functions, and supporting BCM
efforts across IFC’s network of more than 100 offices
around the world.
Working in conjunction with the other members of the
BCM team, the BCM specialist will be involved in some
or all the following aspects of the program:
- Performing business disruption risk analysis and impact
assessment to identify points of vulnerability and
determine critical business processes and acceptable
recovery time periods; recommending resources required
for the successful resumption of business units operations
in the event of a disruption.
- Providing support to departmental business continuity
coordinators for all business continuity-related
activities including the development and maintenance
of departmental BCM plans to reflect changes in
organization, working procedures, staff, systems, and
office facilities.
- Maintaining the existing HQ Emergency Management
Team (EMT) documentation and membership.
- Developing training materials, planning and conducting
training and workshops on IFC’s approach to emergency
management and business continuity planning for IFC’s
HQ, regional hub and country offices.
- Development of test scenarios, and planning and
assessing the effectiveness of BC plan tests for HQ
departments and country offices, emergency simulations
for the EMT and disaster recovery tests for IT.
- Monitoring and maintaining readiness of emergency
management and other BCM-related facilities, equipment
and vital records, including: Business Continuity Center
, emergency notification systems1, Remote access
“ring main” capacity, alternate work space for the IFC
Management Group, and all provisions for emergencies.
- Participating in coordination of BCM efforts across the
World Bank Group.
Selection Criteria
- Masters or Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline plus
a minimum of three years work experience in business
continuity management in financial services, including:
- Project planning, risk assessment, business impacts
analysis, quality control, and the formulation and
maintenance of business continuity plans.
- Managing emergencies and business disruptions.
- Experience in developing and delivering training and
workshops.
- Strong interpersonal skills, experience in interfacing with
a multicultural staff at all levels within the organization,
and ability to develop and facilitate productive business
relationships.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Team builder/motivator.
- Strong skills in standard office applications (Microsoft
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes or equivalent).
Preference will be given to candidates possessing the
following:
- Business Continuity Planner Certification (ABCP/CBCP)
or equivalent accreditation.
- Knowledge and experience of the Incident Command
System.
- Experience in using BCM planning, collaboration/
document management and project management tools.
- Experience in dealing with external parties such as public
emergency responders, and IT infrastructure, facilities
and recovery services providers.
- Understanding of WBG’s mission, business drivers, and
operations.
Travel and out of hours on-call support may be required.
